Wicket Dryer

The wicket dryer provides a reliable drying solution for printed sheets that require gentle handling, even hot-air circulation, and controlled cooling after printing. Using a wicket-style sheet transport system with clamps, the dryer carries printed materials in a vertical flip-forward motion, allowing solvent-based inks, coatings, and pigments to dry efficiently while reducing the risk of sticking, deformation, or surface damage.

This dryer is built with a tunnel-type heating section and an open cooling section with a top cover. The heating section evaporates solvents from the ink or coating layer, while the cooling section uses exhaust fans to lower the temperature of printed sheets before collection. This makes the wicket dryer suitable for heat transfer printing, ceramic decals, packaging printing, credit card printing, and other applications using solvent-based inks or pigments.

  • Forced Cooling for Safer Sheet Handling: Exhaust fans in the cooling section blow air through angled grille plates toward the printed sheets on the wicket frame. This forced cooling keeps sheets close to the frame, supports smooth transport, and reduces sticking or deformation before stacking or further processing.
